We were contacted by a new client looking for a copper worktop island for her new kitchen. As our discussions developed, so did the remodelling of this heart of the home room – and once she had settled on a finish for her worktop, our team set to work, liaising with her builders in live time to check and re-check measurements in preparation for the worktop to be delivered and installed.
The brief for this project was simple: a zinc worktop for a kitchen island. As with all our bespoke projects, the design journey with our clients commenced and we explored all manner of design elements to be considered: what profile edge would they prefer, what finish, and what other features would our team need to incorporate?
Created for a private residence in London, this beautifully hand crafted, hand patinated copper worktop was totally made to measure.
Period homes seldom have perfectly straight walls in any room, so it was vital that we had accurate dimensions and angles to work with. Where a site visit is not possible, we predominantly produce our worktops from a template, which is sent to us from which the final top is made.
