Having worked on retractable, rolling library ladder projects for interior design studio Covet Noir in the recent past, we were delighted to hear from them again, this time, looking for another ladder and rails in a similar finish.
With a shared passion for handmade furniture and cabinetry, one of our long-standing clients contacted us to explore a rather specific vision: their clients were looking for two bespoke table bases that, from their initial researched and curated images, appeared to resemble basket-style tables, decorated with a series of elliptical-shaped metal discs.
We were contacted via Instagram by interior design company, Covet Noir, who had a very specific idea for a bespoke rolling library ladder.
When we were approached by a high end firm of cabinet makers, a company with whom we have worked on many projects over the years, we were rather excited by the brief. Though very specific – to create a pair of metal terrace doors that needed to have a delicate and jewel-like quality – we relished the opportunity to once again showcase our design and fabrication skills.
It was with open arms therefore that we accepted a request from the highly respected firm of interior designers, Finchatton, based in London, to produce a bespoke table to be used within one such wine room of significant proportions.
There is no doubt about it, Crittall-Style is ‘à la mode’ and it’s easy to see why – clean, minimal, no-fuss, low-profile, not to mention the abundance of light that this style provides.
