We were recently contacted by a bedroom furniture designer who was looking for a bespoke bedroom ladder solution for his client.
The ladder needed to address a number of factors, from perfectly matching the clients’ existing interior, to having a mechanism that would adjust the height of the ladder according to use – tall enough to reach the storage shelves above the client’s wardrobes, and short enough to be stowed away in a cupboard when not in use.
During the first lockdown in 2020, we were contacted by a high-end interior designer, whose search for a unique rolling ladder system had brought her to the Andrew Nebbett Designs’ website.
Bronze (or phosphor bronze as variants are known) is a somewhat underrated cousin of the so very fashionable metal; brass. It offers similar working properties to that of its copper alloy family members, but significantly, it can provide some of the most beautiful pinky colours and tones when compared to brass itself.
There is no doubt about it, Crittall-Style is ‘à la mode’ and it’s easy to see why – clean, minimal, no-fuss, low-profile, not to mention the abundance of light that this style provides.
How do you find a wooden ladder to reach up to the heights of a period property ceiling yet small enough to be stowed away in a secret cupboard? The answer is… to talk to Andrew Nebbett Designs!
A world-renowned luxury furniture designer contacted us, and asked us to collaborate on a beautiful project they were working on. The aspect we were to design was our speciality; a bespoke hook-on ladder and rail system.
