Globally, we are becoming increasingly aware of our impact on the environment. Many people are now making conscious decisions based on the environmental credentials of the companies they buy from. Attempting to be eco-friendly has become a mainstay of our daily lives, from where we buy our food to what we clean our houses with. So conscious are we to be more ‘green’ that even interior design choices are becoming linked to sustainability and environmental impact, with people selecting materials which are easy to recycle. Incorporating metal furniture into an interior design scheme offers a sustainable solution for the environmentally conscious client.
Having worked on retractable, rolling library ladder projects for interior design studio Covet Noir in the recent past, we were delighted to hear from them again, this time, looking for another ladder and rails in a similar finish.
We were contacted via Instagram by interior design company, Covet Noir, who had a very specific idea for a bespoke rolling library ladder.
We were approached by interior design company Erik Munro with a concept for a bespoke copper and brass cooker hood.
With ready-prepared mood boards illustrating their ideas, we could clearly see what they wanted to achieve and were delighted to be working with them on this project.
When we think of the word bronze, we often conjure images of beautiful art works of behemoth proportions, vast Henry Moore, or Barbara Hepworth sculptures. However, in our world of bespoke furniture and storage design, bronze and bronze colour and finish, has many other applications and meanings.
Alongside a number of custom made, aged copper worktops, we worked with a private client’s interior design team for a residence in Hampshire to create a bespoke wall mounted shelving unit. The brief was to provide a unit which was built to fit around fixed items within the private bar…
