Private Home – Central London

We were approached by a London based interior design studio, seeking a dressing room solution for one of their clients. The property was an elegant, period home in central London. The dressing room sported a wealth of period features such as traditional panelled walls.

The client’s preference was to team their period dressing room with a solution which would compliment the traditional style of the property, thus they opted for our classical clothes rail system, (as opposed to our contemporary equivalent).

This project posed as a welcome challenge for Andrew Nebbett Designs, as the unique nature of the panelled room meant that the ‘blank-canvas’ was quite complex with an array of different measurements to take into account!

We offer a 3D visualisation service which we offer to our clients, as it presents everyone involved with a clear representation of the end solution, giving the client a real sense of what they will receive prior to production. The clients opted for this service, enabling the room to be represented with the dressing room solution in place (below). From here, we were able to iron out any issues prior to transferring the order to the workshop team.

The solution agreed upon was a set of wall-mounted clothing rails and shelving system together with a floor and wall-mounted shoe rack, all of which required bespoke-made wall fixings to accommodate the measurements of the timber stiles and rails of the wall panelleling. The finish chosen was our signature gun-barrel steel and polished brass combination, which was a very elegant choice for such a classical room. Both the shoe rack and the shelf incorporated toughened glass with attractive and safe radius corners.

For this project the clients opted for our installation service, this presented our team with a number of challenges, least of which was to gauge the thickness, strength and integrity of the period panelled walls.

This project was completely made to measure and teams effortlessly with the style of the dressing room.
