We custom design & create back of bar displays, hotel bar systems, bespoke library ladders, restaurant screen dividers & more for the hospitality sector.
We offer a bespoke antique mirror and glass service for projects which require a little more character than new, plain glass can provide. Antique mirror brings a personality of its own to a space, often adding a softness to a reflection, which can be kinder than a new equivalent. From our team’s roots in antique restoration, several decades ago, we have worked with antique mirror and glass for a very long time!
Through our bespoke service, we can provide antiqued mirror glass panels to fit your project. You choose the size, the glass and the level of ageing of the finish. For a sample of the work we have produced, please take a look at the gallery and projects below showing a selection of our antique mirror glass work. Adding a mirror to any room can immediately alter the feel and mood of the space, so it’s little wonder that interior designers cleverly incorporate them into design schemes, maximising their reflective qualities to bounce light from different angles for a sense of spaciousness. They can make smaller rooms appear larger, and when paired with darker colours and heavy fabrics, they add a dramatic and opulent ambience.
Working with a long-standing client and cabinet-maker, we were delighted to collaborate on another project for two bespoke pieces intended for his and hers dressing rooms. The brief was to create a brass hook-on library ladder and rails, with square tube stringers (a more unusual design) and rounded rungs, plus a large round brass mirror frame to tie in with the couple’s existing interior scheme.
Working with Devon based interior design firm Ashton House Design, we were asked to create a wall-mounted shelving unit for the purpose of displaying the client’s collection of liquors. This unit was not only to work with the client’s interior…
When brand new and shiny just won’t do, we often look to the old for inspiration and there is sometimes nothing better than a piece of antique mirror glass which exudes character and personality, brining a space to life! The reflections from an aged mirror
The Duchess was in need! Originally built in 1789 to commemorate the marriage of the Duke of York to Princess Frederica Charlotte of Prussia, the original building was demolished in 1883 to make way for the current building, and by 2014 she needed some attention!
Through our bespoke service, we can produce the size, shape, profile and finish of antique style mirror glass for your project.
No matter how we describe mirror panels which are aged and finished to ooze a once bygone era, it is the character and charm that is so appealing. No two of our antiqued mirror panels are ever the same, as each one is hand patinated and hand finished.
Brand new and shiny is sometimes not what a space needs! Mirrors with distressed finishes bring a very different personality to a space, often softening the environment.
Hand aged and hand finished mirror panels can be used for a variety of applications, from splash backs, wall panels, door panels and of course the more traditional wall mounted, framed mirrors. We can produce panels to suit your project. Please drop us a line to discuss your requirements.
