We were contacted by a long-standing interior design client looking for a bespoke solution for her clients. Inspired by an image they had seen online, the question was: ‘Can you make this?’ The answer was: ‘YES! Of course!’

The idea was very specific: a copper cooker hood with integrated extractor fan, incorporating heavy-looking industrial-style rivet detailing and an aged, brushed finish.

Our 3D visualisation drawings enabled the vision to come to life, highlighting specific features and the all-important dimensional information, opening up discussions about any particulars that needed to be included (or not). Our visuals are an excellent communication tool, bridging the gap between a written design brief/product description and the real thing.

The extractor mechanism (including the ventilation duct) was required prior to production (we design and construct our bespoke cooker hoods around the appliances chosen by our clients). All our cooker hoods start life as a timber substrate framework to provide the shape and structure, all built around the extractor unit before being wrapped in the sheet metal of choice and adorned with the preferred detailing.

Following our client’s design intent, we prepared the copper sheet clad-panels with an aged, brushed finish, with bespoke handmade industrial-style square edge rivet detailing and trim.

This cooker hood is a real statement piece for any kitchen and our client (and her end clients) were absolutely delighted with the finished piece.
