Dressing room items in a private residence

Working with a long-standing client and cabinet-maker, we were delighted to collaborate on another project for two bespoke pieces intended for his and hers dressing rooms.

The brief was to create a brass hook-on library ladder and rails, with square tube stringers (a more unusual design) and rounded rungs, plus a large round brass mirror frame to tie in with the couple’s existing interior scheme.

Our creative designers worked closely with our client to present a collection of designs using our 3D visualisation service. Through our realistic visuals we were able to demonstrate how delicate the light brass library ladder and mirror would look in the client’s dressing rooms, and how the impact of light on the delicately brushed brass would make these pieces glisten with radiance.

Once our client had discussed our design options with his end clients, our experienced team of craftsmen set our bringing these pieces to life.

The brief for the mirror had been to create a huge 900mm diameter frame, but after a few calculations, we realised that the piece would need to be constructed from two lengths of brass, meaning two joins. In discussions with our client, we agreed a slightly smaller diameter and our team carefully created the mitred frame from one length of brass, diligently hand patinating this to a brushed brass finish to match the library ladder and rails.
