Are you aware of our Harrods connection …? Andrew comes from a family of designers and as a small child, spent many Saturdays in Harrods with his grandfather, who was Head of Interior Design at the prestigious Knightsbridge store during the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
We were hugely excited to catch a glimpse of one of our projects in the recent BBC documentary series, My Life as a Rolling Stone. There (right of the opening shot) in the background of Huntsman, one of Charlie Watts’ favourite Savile Row tailors, stood our AND rolling library ladder.
We produce a large amount of bespoke hardware and smaller individual components each year. Towards the end of last year, we commenced working on a new project to design and manufacture a set of custom barn door hardware items.
As well as producing bespoke library ladders in full, with all moving parts, we are often asked to create custom components for our clients’ existing ladders. AND were approached by a luxury wine cellar company specialising in creating bespoke wine cellars as well as kitchen installations and home cabinetry.
With a shared passion for handmade furniture and cabinetry, one of our long-standing clients contacted us to explore a rather specific vision: their clients were looking for two bespoke table bases that, from their initial researched and curated images, appeared to resemble basket-style tables, decorated with a series of elliptical-shaped metal discs.
We love working on bespoke projects, helping our clients to find just the right design concept for their homes. The question we’re usually asked is: “Can you make this?” The answer is often a resounding yes; our team will always endeavour to devise a workable solution to most design challenges!
